Mater is a sable long coat WGSL/working line mix. Despite clearly being a pretty boy, he’s got drive for days. Mater is currently working towards his BH and IGP1, which is are titles related to protection work, obedience, and tracking. In addition, he’ll be going for his show rating, and his AD, which is an endurance test, next year. Once he’s achieved all of these titles, he’ll go for his breed survey, called the KKL. The KKL means that he is recommended for breeding by the SV, which is the international German shepherd group. He’s also working towards his Fast CAT title and is starting in dock diving! Mater is also being joint tested in the next few weeks and comes from lines with excellent hips and elbows. He is DM clear by parentage, and his genetic testing is pending as well. Despite being a powerhouse on the IGP field, Mater is a total sweetheart and a big goof. He has an excellent off switch, and is neutral around new people. Mater’s temperament is ideal to me in a German shepherd. He has the versatility to work, be a family pet, a hiking buddy, or anything in between. I can’t wait to see the puppies Mater produces once he passes all of his health screenings and gets a few titles after his name!
